LIPARI & VULCANO SUNDAY FAMILY DAY
Boarding from Milazzo at 8:45am. Departure at 9:00am. After skirting the promontory of Capo Milazzo, you will sail to Lipari for the first stop of about two and half hours, which is useful for visiting the historic center, the archaeological park and shopping in downtown shops.
About 1.00pm departure from the port of Lipari and route to the island of Vulcano; will be made boat tour of the mythological area where you can admire the “Faraglioni”, “Lo scoglio di Papa Giovanni”, “la Grotta degli Angeli” and “lo Scoglio della Mummia”.
Continuing the navigation, we will visit “la Piscina di Venure”, “la Grotta del Cavallo” and “lo Scoglio del Leone”. Arrival at Vulcano and stop of about two and half hours, useful to take a bath in the thermal waters in the area of sulphurous mud, to visit the island and admire the picturesque “Sabbie Nere” and “la valle dei Mostri”.
4.00pm about boarding from the port of Vulcano to Milazzo.
Return to Milazzo around 5:30pm.
The mini-cruise MILAZZO – LIPARI – VULCANO – MILAZZO is performed on board boats equipped with every comfort with a large lounge, a snack bar, kitchen, lounge, TV / video, stereo and terrace. The boats are from different dimensions ( 280 pax, 320 pax, 420 pax). Wide corridors with lots of outdoor space allow our passengers to move freely. Also space for small animals. Just after leaving the port of Milazzo, you will have the opportunity to admire from the boat, the promontory of Milazzo with the castle built above the old town of Milazzo, of uncertain origin, Arab probably. Developed and improved during the Norman and Swabian time, now declared as a National Monument. In 1608, Milazzo Cathedral was built inside the castle (Old Cathedral now) and palaces jurors. After several years, Castle is back open to the public.
ARRIVAL AT THE PORT OF LIPARI
10:20am (about) arrival at the port of Lipari Marina Corta. Stop and visit of the island. The island of Lipari is among the largest of the seven islands of the Aeolian archipelago.
WHAT YOU CAN SEE IN LIPARI:
CATHEDRAL OF ST. BARTHOLOMEW
The Cathedral, dedicated to St. Bartholomew, was built by Count Ruggero who donated it to the monk Ambrogio, appointed first abbot of all the Aeolian Islands. This donation was confirmed by Ruggero II in 1134.
The Archaeological Park Quarter Diana Lipari extends into the vast flat area bounded to the east of the historic center of the modern city to the west of the slope opposite, south of the laying of the Walloon and North Wallon S. Lucia. In the area of the Park is the Vescovile Building, bounded on the South Street Diana, (now G. Marconi), and other small adjacent archaeological areas.
The Archaeological Park of Diana Area was established in 1971 as a result of carried out by Luigi Bernabò Brea and Madeleine Cavalier archaeological excavations they highlighted the walls urbiche Greek age of IV century BC.
The park is Municipality of Lipari idea, and the aim was to create a green area in the heart of the city.
HISTORICAL CENTER AND VITTORIO EMANUELE STREET
The boulevard Vittorio Emanuele II, the main road from the historic center of Lipari. In this area you can admire lots of shops and the narrow streets of the island.

01:30 pm : Arrival and stop on the island of Vulcano to enable participants lunch in local restaurants on the island (optional).
WHAT WE CAN SEE IN THE ISLAND OF VULCANO:
THE SULPHUREOUS MUD-BATHS
They are one of the peculiarities of Vulcano. From the port on the right, the shelter of a rock with incredible colors, shades ranging from yellow to red, a natural basin sulphurous mud known for their therapeutic properties, you can enter the pond, where the water is enriched and intensely mineralized by volcanic bellows and where sulphurous fumes out. mud is a panacea to cure arthritis, airway diseases and skin diseases.
CLIMBING THE CRATER OF VULCANO
The excursion to the crater is an unforgettable walk. It is a wonderful feeling that reveals an inconceivable world.
